St. Nikola
The project is being realized by the project company AES Geo Energy OOD owned by Geo Power OOD and AES Wind Investment.
The scale of the investment requires a team of highly qualified experts whose professionalism was proved with the completion of the construction work a month before the final term.
The Saint Nikola Wind Farm contributes to the economic revival and stable development of the region. As a part of the company’s social programme, every year social and environmental projects are going to be financed. Local business has also received strong support – by now contracts with Bulgarian subcontractors amounting to around 40 million euro have been signed. The construction of the wind farm provides 250 temporary and about 20 permanent jobs.
Thus Bulgaria will not only get a modern and environmental friendly power plant that will strengthen its position on the international energy market and secure its energy independence. Highly qualified and successful manpower will also be trained, which will stimulate young people to look for realization in the field of power engineering.
